DO NOT CRY FOR ME

I am already dead...
I am hiding within my shell,
My body, my life, is my living hell.

I wish I was the wind that blows,
Stirring the leaves on the trees so light.
I long to be the sparkle of stars at night,
Or the rippling of moving waters.

I am already dead...
My soul sits trapped, waiting to flee;
Awaiting the moment when it will be free.

I long to be the echo of someone’s laughter,
And swirl in the clouds of a summer storm.
Oh, to be a golden ray of sun so warm,
And rest in the calmness of a dawn.

                                                                                                                                                                        Do not pity, peer, or pry
                                                                                  Into my head; too late to cry.
                                                                                    I am already dead...

                                                                                    My spirit yearns to soar in a better place,
                                                                                    Where goodness and peacefulness reign,
                                                                                  Where I will suffer no more pain,
                                                                                   When I will merge with my Creator.

                                                                                      My body, my life, is my living hell,
                                                                                        I am hiding within my shell,
                                                                                       I am already dead

Brighid’s New Dawn

This morning I woke from Brighid’s bed
To find new stirrings within my head.

Sweet Spirit whispered to me these words,
And I did find them light as Spring’s birds,

"Do not lay by, and no more weep.
Rise up and start a new clean sweep!"

"I will ease your burdens before I part.
There is always forgiveness and a new start."

"Come drink of the waters from my Well;
There, goals you’ll set by Magick’s spell."

"With Maiden’s aid, grow strong in mind and hand,
To care and comfort your home and man."

"No promise make of change firm and fast;
There’s no one perfect present or past."

Then she washed my face in holy light,
My sorrows lifted as did the night.

Maid Brighid’s gift from her to me:
Res’lution to mend and happy be.

  1. You are a very good poet! I loved "Do not Cry For Me". I guess you could say I lean toward darker writing. It was moving, revealing, and just wonderful. Did you make the artwork next to it? Because it is amazing!
